23 months, full of surprises

I say many surprising things now. Memi, and my family are so amazed. I can fix small things like when pieces of my toys come off, I can put it back on my own. I love drawing with my crayons. I notice all the details, especially when riding in the car seeing all the sites. I know when we are almost to the grocery or to my play gym Activefun.

I have my own name for SM/or the mall - it's ikay-ikay. I dunno, I just made that one up. Memi likes it. I also made up words like bugga bugga, and honkey donkey. Another word I made up is poo poo stick - that means pogo stick.

My favorite food nowadays is cake! I have to have cake once a week or just before sleeping, whichever Memi will allow. :)

I'm noticing that it's almost my birthday and I know the place that I am going to have it. I started looking at lootbags, and tasting LOTS of cake. I love taste testing cotton candy and popcorn too! ;) I'm excited for my birthday. I hope that I can blow out the candles on my birthday cake, that's why I'm already practicing.

I know and use words like gravity, stethoscope, paparazzi and heart pressure.

22 months

At 22 months I mastered climbing up and down the stairs. :) I don't like to be carried especially when I can climb stairs on my own. I ngove watching playhouse Disney. My favorite shows are Clipard (Clifford) puppy days, Mickey Mouse cubhouse (clubhouse), Save-ums, Cocoyo (pocoyo) and Jojo's Circus. I like playing hide and seek, especially in the dark when I can use my pwashngite (flashlight). I love toys and not just toys-things! anything I find new I want to try, touch and hold. I ngove throwing my toys out of the box and making a big mess...Kangat!!! (kalat)

I'm used to sleeping in the afternoon now, and it doesn't take me long to fall asleep at 4pm. But, if I don't get my nap, you can tell I'm sleepy when I say I want to "doog something" or "I want to spill spill everything."

I'm still practicing using the potty. I haven't gotten down to pulling my dipies off before using it, but sometimes I like to sit on it. Mostly, I use the the potty as an excuse to go down from the bed when I know it's bedtime, because Memi doesn't let me go down unless it's for potty. And then, I go straight for the ref!

When something I like is all out, like oreos, I say, "We have to go to the gwocewy and buy more."

I don't like when my clothes are wet, I immediately ask Memi to change my shirt if water spills on it. :)

I love going out for car rides. I sit voluntarily in my car seat, but I won't let the trip go by unless I get a chance to drive too! If we go home and I haven't had a chance to sit at the driver's seat and play around in the car, I will stay for a few minutes, before going into the house again.

I still use my pwaygwound (thank you dadi) but now, I mostly use the slidewee. :) I can almost slide by myself, but I prefer if Memi is holding me. I like playing dagan dagan in the garage with toto Doey too.

My favorite food these days are bubuwan (polvoron), chuckie (chocolate milk), CHOCOLATE, cake, french toast and jengy snakes da sweet wan. (jelly snakes)

My ninang Kat has chickenpox. Memi told me this. So, I said, "I want to buy chickenpox." Memi said, "You cannot buy chickenpox, you can only get it." So, I said, "I want to get chickenpox when I grow up. I want to give Tito Doey chickenpox when he grows up."

Hahaha, said Memi.

I can sing "I have two hands" and "I'm a little teapot" all by myself ;)

I learned that song last night before bedtime. I made memi sing it 10 times until i memorized the song and the actions. Then, after the tenth time, I sang along with her and made her sing it 10 more times.

Then, Memi asked me to sing it all by myself and I did!

Napping, Eating and Meltdowns

Meltdowns! I have lots of them when I am sleepy or cranky. You can tell that I need sleep when I start taking gibberish and I crumple to the floor at the drop of a hat.

I'm still trying to get into a regular nap time. I can't fall asleep by myself yet, unless I am REALLY tired like when I haven't napped for the whole day.

I'm not into eating nowadays, because my second molars are growing, but I can buckle my own seatbelt now.

Here is one thing I like though, SNACKS! Here's a pic of Dadi and me eating nachos and salsa. :)

I'm a bedgtabol gehl.

I ngove (love) eating vegatables. Grandmum calls me a vegetable girl. I don't like meat unless I am really hungry or Memi hides it in the rice.

I've been really cranky for the past days because I'm growing my second molars. I think Memi will blender my food again just so I can eat it.

I love eating corn, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage. I want all my meals to have vegetables in them.

Blowing bubbles

I blew my first bubble last night with Dadi and Memi watching. I'm practicing for my birthday coming up :)

I used my dora non-spill bubble holder and bubble wand and blew 5 bubbles! Hooray for me!!!

I can recall many things now, even if they were days away. I like to say, "you member?" (you remember) to you, but I only say the experiences I had with you.

Like with Memi it's, you member the milk spilled from the tea (scoop) and you wipe it with tissue with water from the glass?

And with Gwanmum it's, you member the kakawoach in the gwocy (cockroach in the grocery).

And with Dadi it's, you member the popcorn in the swing? higher, higher!

And with lolo it's, you member the cake and candle...blow! (on lolo's birthday)

Going up the stairs in the house, grandad brings me to the 2nd floor. But I want to go to the 3rd floor...

Memi: She is protesting.

Grandad: Why are you protesting? Are you protestant?

Chab: Uuuuuhhhh...Memi, I'm protestant!

Don't clean me!

I hate having having my diaper changed, or wiping my face or taking a bath. But, I still have to do them...

I don't like brushing my teeth too, unless Memi plays the game 'take out'. She says, take out the corn, take out the oreos...or any other thing I ate that day, while brushing my teeth.

I don't like washing my hands or wiping with baby wipes unless I know that I am going to eat something I like after. :)

Chab: Anything. I like grapes.

Getting cheeky!

Dadi told Memi I'm probably gaining some weight as my cheeks looked rounder now and I'm getting a double chin...Dadi only sees my cheeks only on the webcam now as he's in back in Singapore, but he'll be kissing them soon! :D Hopefully he doesn't have to go back to Singapore as he's alone there and quite sad (don't cwy dadi...) I can't wait for next month to play gigil games with him before bedtime, and then I have to hug him so he stops tickling me hehe.. "hug!"

Helpful and Sweet

I always like to help Memi when she is doing something. I like doing things together! Especially the sweeping and mopping. That is my favorite. I also help when loading the washing machine when I can. I like putting back what toys I got from my toy drawer and keeping the Memi's old matchbox cars back in their box when I'm done looking at them.

I like to ask, "What you doin'?" to everyone.

I always ask to hold dadi and memi's hand while walking so we can walk together. I always share my food with toto doey, memi, dady, gwandad, gwanmum, ninang kat, tita dec or yaya. Sometimes when I like the food I pretend to feed them with my arm outstretched, then, when they come close with their mouth open, I put the food in my own mouth. Hahah!

I'm 21 months!

I'm a pro at picking up things that you say. I say things like "Oh, dear, oh my, oh my godness!" (that's not at typo). If you say, "Where is your ilok? (armpit)", I say, "I'm on to you." If I'm holding a basket of things and they spill out onto the floor, I say, "Oh, no! My things!!" If I'm hungry already, I say, "I'm ringy, ringy hungry."

I'm still not into changing diapers, and haven't been for the past 2 months. I'm really afraid of changing diapers in public places. I cry and scream just to make Memi stop.

I like playing with my stuffed toys now especially my Singapore Zoo polar bear Pobee and my manatee who I call Dugom. I just started liking stuffed toys starting last month. I like feeding Poby my milk and rocking him like a baby.

I am great at pushing my Disney princess stroller. I don't need help from Memi anymore for steering. I love cars and bikes because I can steer now. I like sitting in the driver's seat of dadi's car and beeping the horn.

One time I was in the driver's seat playing while Dadi was getting HenLin. I beeped the horn even if Memi said not to because there was a girl eating in the shell station in front of the car. She was really surprised by the loud sound and her eyes grew very big!!! I quickly sat down from where I was standing at the wheel so she wouldn't see me, and started leaning my head to the left and sinking down to hide!

I miss my playdate friends and the playground in Singapore. So, Dadi bought my my very own playground! I ngove it!!! I like swinging high in my blue seal swing with the seatbelt on ,of course. Every morning I go out to play, and if I could go out at night I would play all night at the playground.

Memi got me a new potty, and I like to sit on it for 1 second and then stand up and say, "I'm done!" I'm not really interested in using it for real yet. Maybe when I'm used to seeing it around for a while.

It's very hot now here in Manila. I'm so happy that Dadi bought me a wading pool for outside! I use it almost everyday. Dadi, can you put a picture of me in my pool on my blog?

I don't like using my stroller much anymore here because we have a car. I like to walk around by myself in the malls and slide out of grasp if anyone is trying to pick me up.

I can sing all the words to Twinkle twinkle little star now and most of Old McDonald had a Farm. I like to use the microphone when I sing the Backyardigans theme song at the start of my DVDs.

I miss my high chair for eating and can't wait til it arrives. I hope my toys get here soon too!
